Nikon Z 50 20,9 Mpx mit 16-50mm VR Lens Kit Spiegellose Systemkamera – Schwarz

Habe mehrere Fuji’s und die Anschaffung der Nikon Z-50 war nur einem Interesse entsprungen, auch mal etwas anderes auszuprobieren. Meine Bedenken wegen der relativ wenigen Megapixel haben sich in Luft aufgelöst, angesichts der überragenden Bildqualität (Farben, Hauttöne, Rauschverhalten), gepaart mit dem angenehmen Handling, der sehr durchdachten Bedienung und dem leicht verständlichen Menü. Sucher und Display haben zwar nur eine durchschnittliche (aber ausreichende) Auflösung, punkten jedoch in einer Größe, die im Preisbereich um Tausend EUR für den Body einzigartig am Markt sind (Display hat 3,2 statt wie üblich 3 Zoll). Komme aus der Analog-Zeit und fotografiere seit über 40 Jahren, 95% aller Aufnahmen mache ich durch den Sucher – bei der Z-50 ist es ein Genuss hiermit ein Bild zu komponieren. Meine Fuji’s liegen seither nur noch Zuhause im Regal und die Z-50 begleitet mich überall hin, mit knapp 600gr Gesamtgewicht Body mit 16-50 kann ich die Kamera mühelos auch bei längeren Wanderungen immer dabei haben (über die Schulter am PeakDesign Leash Gurt)!

Summary: one of the best – if not the best APS-C cameras. Should be called „CaNikSony“.
But in order to enjoy it fully as „CaNikSony“ you will need several adapters.
The best feature: there is probably no lens made in last 100 years you can’t adopt to the camera.
For most lens you can find a reasonably-priced adapter on eBay.
Sometimes you have to be resourceful.
For instance there is no Mamiya ZE or Mamiya CS to „Z“ adapter. But there is Mamiya ZE to MFT adapter and there is a MFT to „Z“ adapter and you can combine them.
This camera (and it’s lager full-format siblings like Z5, Z6, Z7) can be named „CaNikon“ because they can work with most if not all Canon EF lens, even preserving autofocus feature. All you need is an adapter. I have good experience with Fringer, but your mileage may vary.
Where a Z50/Z5/Z6/Z7 or, if that matters, Canon „R“ series really do shine is if you want to use a shift lens. Shift (or tilt-shift) lens are known since a while – but exact metering is often impossible because of the interference with mirror. Once mirror is gone – you can use the shift lens fairly easy and in many cases you can use shift lens handhold.
Which camera speaks better to you: the „Z“ series from Nikon or „R“ series from Canon is up to you.
The „better“ „R“ series do cover the sensor if not used by it’s shutter. The „Z“ can be forced doing that trick, but it’s unofficial, this feature is debated (arguably, the shutter is more fragile than the sensor itself).
„R“ is also somewhat larger than „Z“, has longer lens mount-to-sensor distance. But it has full tilting screen.
As a Canon user, after about a year of head-scratching I decided to side with the Nikon „Z“ series simply because I can make a Canon camera from any Nikon Z, but not the other way, see the Fringer adapter.
So I can use the best of both worlds.
As for the choice: the most prudent is probably Nikon Z5 (if you don’t care much about video) or Nikon Z6-II. The Z50 is terrific as a back-up camera, is tiny (there go all the MFT, compare the size of GH 3 or later with Z50, ouch!) and all the legacy lens made in last 100 years can be used.
Panasonic did see the writing on the wall switching to full format, but sorry… the „L“ format is a niche.
With „Z“ you can use even Sony E lens. Just be careful: you should unscrew a part of the Sony E -to- Nikon „Z“ TZE-01 adapter for Z50, otherwise it won’t fit the Z50. No problems with Z5/6/7 series.
In a nutshell: if you want to buy Sony „E“, Canon R and Nikon Z the same time, just stick to „Z“ and get all the adapters.
